Dear Ms. Weinel: The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (DWMRC) has completed review of the Energy
Fuels Resources (USA) Inc. (EFR) August 27, 2020 letter requesting an extension of 90 days to submit the
Groundwater Background Report for monitoring wells MW-38, MW-39 and MW-40 at the White Mesa Uranium Mill. Submission of the Background Report is required by Section I.H.3.c of the Groundwater Discharge Permit. Per the letter, an additional 90 days is needed to collect additional data for wells MW-39 and MW-40 to provide statistically valid data sets for listed constituents.
The letter request that the due date for the Background Report be extended until January 8, 2021. Based on review, the extension request is approved. Please submit the MW-38, MW-39, MW-40 Groundwater Background Report on or before January 8, 2021.
