Denison Mines (USA) Corp is providing this letter to notify the Utah Division of Radiation Control of the
White Mesa Mill's tailings, slimes drain, and leak detection system sampling as required by the Utah
Groundwater Discharge Permit (the "GWDP") UGW370004 The sampling event is scheduled for Tuesday
August 14, 2012 and, if necessary, Wednesday August 15, 2012
The Mill staff plan to sample the following locations, consistent with the GWDP and the Tailings, Shmes Drain
Sampling Program (the "Sampling Program")
Sampling Area Locations
Tailings System Cells Cell 1, Cell 3, Cell 4A, and Cell 4B
Shmes Drains Cell 2 Shmes Drain
Leak Detection Systems ("LDSs") Any cell LDS with sufficient liquid present
As indicated in the Sampling Program, shmes drain samples are only collected from cells which have been
removed from service and are undergoing dewatenng procedures For this sampling event, shmes dram
samples will only be collected from Cell #2 Also as mdicated in the Sampling Program, LDS samples are only
collected at locations with sufficient free liquid to permit sampling
