Dear Mr Lundberg
Dunng telephone discussions between the Division of Radiation Control ( DRC ) and Denison Mines
(USA) Corp ( Denison ) personnel on October 26 2012 and subsequent correspondence from DRC
dated March 12 2012 DRC and Denison agreed to the concept of revising the existing approved
Discharge Minimization Technology Monitoring ( DMT ) Plan by splitting it into two documents
Denison currently has one DRC approved DMT Plan which addresses the requirements set forth in the
White Mesa Mill (the Mill ) Radioactive Matenals License ( RML ) as well as those set forth in the
Mill s Groundwater Discharge Permit ( GWDP ) As discussed dunng the October 26 2011
teleconference Denison has revised the DMT Plan by preparing two separate plans one which
addresses the RML requirements and one which addresses the GWDP DMT requirements
This letter transmits Denison s proposed separate plans for the RML and GWDP
1) the revised Tailings Management System procedure Revision 2 0 dated Apnl 2012 which
addresses the RML requiremtns and
2) the DMT Plan revision 12 0 dated April 2012 which addresses the GWDP DMT requirements
These revisions also include changes made to correct minor errors and inconsistencies in the February
2012 Revision ofthe DMT Plan
For ease of review we have provided both redline and clean versions of each document
The attached Plans are based on the DRC approved February 2012 submittal Changes resulting from
the above referenced discussions are provided in redline/strikeout format
