Sampling Report Closeout Letter
Dear Mr Frydenlund
The Utah Division of Radiation Control (DRC) has completed the review of the 2011 Annual Wastewater
Sampling Report dated November 10 2011
The review was based on compliance with the Ground Water Quality Discharge Permit Number
UGW370004 (Permit) and the Tailings and Slimes Drain Samphng Program (Plan) Based on the review
it was found that DUSA failed to meet the minimum detection limit for Tetrahydrofuran (THF) in the
Tailing Cell 1 However the Executive Secretary accepts the DUSA plan in Section 3 3 5 of the 2011
Annual Wastewater Sampling Report to resolve this non-compliance and there will be no enforcement
action
The remainder of the items reviewed were found to be conducted in compliance with the Permit and Plan
This letter constitutes a closeout of the 2011 Annual Wastewater Sampling Report
