ShelleyExecutive Director DIVISION OF DRINKING WATERNathan Lunstad, Ph.D., P.E.Director October 1, 2024 Brett Knight Hyde Park City Water System 113 E Center Hydr Park, UT 84318 Subject: Notice Decreased Monitoring Requirements for Hyde Park City Water System, UTAH03007 Brett Knight: According to the Division of Drinking Water’s (the Division) records, three radionuclide samples were collected from the 1995 Well (identified as WS003) between July 6, 2021, through June 4, 2024. Each of the results were below the detection levels for respective analytes. This fulfills the initial monitoring requirements for the 1995 Well. Additionally, the 1995 Well has three consecutive annual volatile organics samples showing no detections on file. This source qualifies for reduced radionuclide and volatile organics monitoring. A radionuclide sample is now required from the 1995 Well once every nine years. The next radionuclide sample is due sometime between January 1, 2029 and December 31, 2037. A volatile organics sample is now required from the 1995 Well once every three years. The next volatile organics sample is due sometime between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2028. The updated monitoring requirements for the 1995 Well are given below. An updated monitoring schedule can be viewed any time at waterlink.utah.gov under the Water Monitoring section.
