Subject: Notice Decreased Monitoring Requirements for Marion Waterworks Co, UTAH22008
Kent Peterson:
According to the Division of Drinking Water’s (the Division) records, three radionuclide samples were collected from the Peterson Well (identified as WS005) between January 8, 2020,
through July 16, 2024. Each of the results were below the detection levels for respective analytes. This fulfills the initial monitoring requirements for the Peterson Well. This source now qualifies for reduced monitoring.
A radionuclide sample is now required from the Peterson Well once every nine years. The next
radionuclide sample is due sometime between January 1, 2029 and December 31, 2037.
The updated monitoring requirements for the Peterson Well are given below. An updated monitoring schedule can be viewed any time at waterlink.utah.gov under the Water Monitoring section.
