Dear Chad Gilgen of the Minor Source Compliance Section,
This letter is in response to the received DAQ correspondence, document number DAQC-929-24, received by
the site on Friday, October 11th , 2024. The document received was a Compliance Advisory relating to
replacement-in-kind notification on new pieces of screening equipment per the AO issued to the site.
The Morton Salt team recognizes the importance of this matter and going forward will commit to notifying the
DAQ of any new screening operations, regardless of replacement- in- kind status. This process will be
highlighted as part of the equipment Management of Change process.
Morton Salt hopes the following CA is acceptable moving forward and will work closely with the teams at the
DAQ to ensure continued compliance.

Advisory, Morton Salt will need to submit a Replacement-in-Kind notification to the DAQ Minor Source NSR section. I
