Pursuant to the Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine (RICE) National Emission
Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants Subpart ZZZZ, this letter fulfills the initial notification
required by 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 63.6645(D and subsequent information
required by 40 CFR 63.9(bX2Xi) through (v).
The new engines operate exclusively as emergency generators and therefore have no
additional requirements by 40 CFR 63.6645(0. Hill Air Force Base (AFB) is a major source of
hazardous air pollutants, and this initial notification is for three new, emergency, stationary
zuCE, each with a site rating of more than 500 brake horsepower.
