Hi Vernon,
I'm reviewing Millville City's updated drinking water source protection plans, received on December 29, 2022. It appears that no public
education material was included with the updates. Since septic systems were listed as an uncontrolled potential contamination source
in the original plans, the public water system agreed to distribute factsheets to septic owners with information on best management
practices. We need to see that this has been implemented at least once in the last update cycle (six years).
In order for me to concur with your updates I will need to see a copy of the public education material that was distributed to septic
owners within the protection zones for the Park Well and Glenridge Well. This can be done by either including proper source protection
language in the CCR, including factsheets as a bill stuffer (attached), or by adding a source protection page to your website with best
management practice information and including a link on your bills.
Once this has been completed, please reply to this email and provide the date of implementation and a copy of what was distributed. I
can provide 90 days before a formal disapproval is drafted and IPS points are assigned.

Hi Noah,
I know we have had educational items related to septic tanks posted periodically on our website and in the monthly newsletter over the
past years, but it is probably that time again and easier just to post new than to go dig through old stuff.
Near the top of the home page of our website there is now a post for septic tank information with a link to the fact sheet you provided. It
is live now if you want to verify: millvillecity.org. In addition, this is a screenshot from the newsletter mailer that goes to all of our
residents. This will be on the November newsletter that will be mailed out with bills at the beginning of the month.
Please let us know if you need anything else for this.
Thanks
