Shulsen Property
10125 South 280 West
Sandy, Utah
Date of Submittal of Public Notice: 09-30-24
Atlas Technical Consultants plans to begin construction activities associated with the removal of
petroleum impacted soil at the property known as the Shulsen Property. It is anticipated that
approximately 85 yd3 of soil will be removed of which 42 yd3 are anticipated to be impacted. The
proposed area of excavation is located within the property boundary.
Upon completion of the soil removal and sampling efforts, the excavation will be backfilled,
compacted and resurfaced with gravel. It is anticipated that trucks will enter and exit the site
from Monroe Street. Impacted soil will be transported to the south along Monroe Street to Mall
Ring Road. From Mall Ring the trucks will travel south and connect with 10600 South Street.
The trucks will then travel west on 10600 South Street until they reach the Interstate 15 north
bound on ramp. The soil will be disposed at the E.T. Technologies Soil Regeneration Site
located at 6030 West California Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah. The work is scheduled to begin in
late October or early November. The excavation and backfilling operations are anticipated to be
completed within five business days from the start date.
