Director September 18, 2024 Rick Lybbert Last Chance Ski Ranch 166 Cottonwood Loop Saratoga Springs, Utah 84045 Dear Mr. Lybbert, Subject: RTCR Level 2 Assessment Last Chance Ski Ranch UTAH 23088 I would like to thank Dana Gardner (System Operator) for taking the time to meet with me on July 26th, 2024, for a Level 2 Assessment (L2) of your water system. Your willingness to accommodate this request is greatly appreciated. Observations: The site visit was triggered by TC+ EC- Escherichia coli (E. coli) routine and repeat samples for April 2024 and June 2024 in your distribution system. The TC+ samples were collected from the same two residential service connection structures kitchen taps supplied after the water treatment processes on the premise plumbing system. Conclusions: 1. The TC+ samples were most likely caused by taking samples from the premise plumbing taps after a type of in-house treatment process. 2. Another potential cause could be stagnant water or old water age, as these structures are transient and have low water usage. Recommendations: 1. Follow sanitary sample protocols: cold water taps only, no tap with upstream premise treatment process, flush system thoroughly, and disinfect with strong chlorine solution. Rick Lybbert Page 2 September 18, 2024 2. Conduct a mid-season Operation and Maintenance (O & M) disinfection and flushing of system following American Water Works Association (AWWA) C-651 standards. 3. Flush ends of main line periodically to eliminate old water age.
