Corrective Action:
On September 16, 2024, at 03:28 ET, Clean Harbors personnel arrived on site and performed a
thorough assessment. They discovered that the sump drains at the diesel fueling island were not
properly draining to the on-site oil water separator. To address this, Clean Harbors efficiently
utilized a vacuum truck to pump the sump drains between pumps 17-23. They meticulously
pressure-washed the area and successfully recovered the rinse waters. Additionally, Clean
Harbors took proactive steps to locate the on-site oil-water separator and pumped the level down
to prevent additional overflow. Clean Harbors reported recovery of approximately 3,500 gallons
of oily water. Please see the photos provided by Clean Harbors in Appendix 2.
Waste Disposal:
Pending. A copy of the Final Manifest (when received) will be attached in Appendix 3.
Conclusion and Recommendations:
The release has been thoroughly addressed, and no evidence suggests any significant
environmental impact remains on the site. This Interim Report satisfies the Reporting
Requirement. Once the waste is disposed of and the final documents are received, ERTS will
complete and submit the final report.
