Paul,

We have updated the plan per your comments and have provided our responses below.

1. Have the new hatches already been installed? The hatch seems to meet the DDW requirements, but if they
haven't been installed yet, then the letter I produce will be a plan approval so you can go ahead and get the
hatches installed.
a. They have not yet been installed. The owner wanted to see what your comments were before moving
forward with the installation. A plan approval would be the way to go.

2. Has the water line that you describe in the exception request with the steel pipe or the casing been installled, or is
it just a poly pipe right now? Again, if you are waiting for plan approval and the exception approval first, I just need
to know that.
a. This has not yet been installed. A 2” poly line has been installed but will need to be modified per the plans.
Yes, an exemption letter is needed.

3. The overflow discharge for the 550 gallon tank appears to discharge right at the base of the tank. This could erode
the foundation around the tank if it discharges. You should include a splash pad of some sort to prevent this from
happening.Also, the screen for an overflow only needs to be a #4 mesh screen, #14 is typically for air vents.
a. The screen on the overflow has been changed to a #4 screen and the call out for a splash pad has been
added on sheet 2.

4. The booster pump is required to have a pressure gauge on the suction side as well, with the ability to measure
negative pressure (a compound gauge).
a. A pressure gauge has been added to the detail on sheet 2.
