System lacks required storage capacity due to fire demand Rule: R309-510-8(1)(b)Rule requires a public water system to provide equalization storage volume (to meet average day demands for indoor and irrigation water use), fire flow storage volume (if equipped with fire hydrants for fire suppression or required by the local fire code official), and emergency storage (if deemed appropriate by the water system or the Director). Notes:See exception for storage capacity for fire demand - system is in Wildfire Urban Interface Area. Wildlife Urban Interface areas do not typically provide fire flow water, therefore, the Fire Department has agreements with the communities in these areas to bring the necessary water tank trucks in the event of fire.
