HomeMy WebLinkAboutDDW-2024-011234Utah Department Of Environmental Quality Division Of Drinking Water Sanitary Survey Sanitary Survey General System Information Exception Granted: R309-550-7 | The reason an exception is being requested is because the crossing needs to take place in a 250-foot window along Washington Dam Rd. Due to the size of the water line and other existing utilities along this stretch of road, it would not be possible to cross under the water line. The sewer line needs to be placed at about a depth of 4 to 5 feet. During explorations at least 4 feet below the proposed depth of the sewer, the soils were found to be clayey gravel with sand and no groundwater was encountered. Exception Granted: R309-550-7(1) | This rule states specifically that where water lines and sewer lines cross, the water main shall be at least 18 inches above the sewer line. A new sewer line is being installed in Washington City to serve a portion of an area north of the Virgin River and south of Country Way. To make this happen the 10-inch SDR-35 sewer line will need to cross two existing water lines. One is a 36-inch diameter line and the other is a 60-inch diameter line. Both of these are polyurethane lined steel pipe and are part of the WCWCD – Quail Lake Water System (27094) as part of its regional water line delivery system. The crossing is located just north of the Virgin River Bridge and Country Way in Washington City. The location is 37° 07' 14" N and 113° 27' 57" W. The reason an exception is being requested is because the crossing needs to take place in a 250-foot window along Country Way. Because it needs to happen there, the water lines are quite deep as they are crossing under the Virgin River at this point. The sewer line needs to be placed at a depth of 12 feet Exception Granted: R309-550-7(1)(a) | Vertical Separation of Water Sewer Lines with Water line 18 inches over the sewer line at 750 S 5300 W Hurricane Exception Granted: Groundwater Monitoring Rule | The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received on November 13, 2009, a request from you for evaluation of 4-log virus inactivation of the finished water leaving the Quail Creek Water Treatment Plant.
