Hi Jarad,
I'm reviewing the updated DWSP plan for the 2001 Replacement Well (WS003) and Well #3 (WS009), received on December 14, 2022. Before I can concur the following needs
to be addressed:
From what I could tell, it appears that your system did not implement land management strategies for residential properties within your protection zones. Residential properties
and septic owners were listed as uncontrolled potential contamination sources (PCSs). As such, the system agreed to distribute factsheets to residents within the protection
zones. Please see the attached screenshot from the original DWSP plan for how your system agreed to manage these PCSs. In your update, sections 5, 7, and 9 do not mention
public education ever being distributed to residences in the last update cycle.
To fulfill your land management strategy, please provide a copy of the public education material that was distributed to residents and month/year of distribution. This material
should inform residents of best management practices for HHW, septic systems, fertilizer, and pesticides. If this material has not been distributed since 2017, please do so as
soon as possible and let me know when completed. If the LUWDS system is operational and is outside of the protection zones, then septic factsheets are not required. I have
attached appropriate factsheets for your reference.
I can provide 90 days for this issue to be addressed before a formal disapproval letter is drafted and ips points are given. Please let me know if you have any questions.
