Subject: Notice of Decreased Monitoring for Eastland Special Service District; UTAH19013 Zach Johnson:
According to the Division of Drinking Water’s (the Division) records, Eastland Special Service
District has completed the increased monitoring requirements triggered by an elevated arsenic result from a sample collected on the T Johnson – 1986 Well (WS003) on November 9, 2022. In accordance with R309-205, Eastland Special Service District collected four quarters worth of arsenic samples. The results show that this source contains arsenic reliably and consistently below
the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 0.010 mg/L. The monitoring requirements for the T Johnson – 1986 Well (WS003) have been reduced, and arsenic samples are no longer required quarterly.
The updated monitoring schedule for the Johnson – 1986 Well (WS003) is given below. A current copy of the system’s complete monitoring schedule can be found anytime online at waterlink.utah.gov.
