Ok ay, the OSHA PEL referenc e is gone and s inc e I mentioned we're going to address the PFAS st uff in the RAP I think
we're good. I'll go ahead and get this uploaded to our elec tronic database. Then I'll type up a formal letter about this and
res ponding t o the "res ponse to comments " (basically by s aying that we'll addres s most of this in the RAP again), but
until I get that out to y ou treat this like accept ance for the document.
Thanks again,
Leigh

Another thought I jus t had about the RAP is that it might be worth it to "bifurcat e" a little here. I know that Bill has been
fine with us going forward with a s oil remedial action plan, even while aspec ts of groundwater (lik e the full extent of PFAS
in this case) are c urrently unknown.
In a c omparable s ite I'm think ing of with very low levels of s olvents in the groundwater, 1,4 dioxane was our wild c ard
there. W e had them doing s oil s ourc e clean up before we really finis hed with finding out the full ex tent of the 1,4-dioxane
(and they ended up not really having to do much with that beyond monitoring). Something similar to that might work well
here, es pecially becaus e it will help y our client get the exc avation equipment mobiliz ed out there and take the building
down s ooner, and the other aspect s of the groundwater/PFAS don't nec es s arily need all that other contrac tor scheduling
to contend with.

Es s entially you would just need t o make clear early on/up-front in the doc ument that PFAS c oncerns and a
groundwater remedy (whether monitoring or something else) will be furt her inves tigated and addressed under other c over.
