Hi Todd,
It was nice meeting with you today. As discussed in our meeting, we will move forward with permitting Cell #7 as a waste
pile while a landfill permit (and financial assurance) is being drafted and approved so that you can continue to accept
waste. The landfill application that was already sent to us has the bulk of the needed information for a waste pile permit,
but a few more things are required.
Please submit the following information to us by emailing the following information to dwmrcsubmit@utah.gov (please cc
wadehess@utah.gov on that email):
A cover letter requesting a waste pile permit for cell #7.
Proof of run-on/run-off controls for a 25-year storm event for cell #7 (If this already exists in the landfill application,
please indicate where this is).
The indication that facility self-inspections will be included in the daily operating record (to be performed at least
quarterly).
Please call or email with any questions!
Thanks,
Wade

Hi Bret,
In our rules, the definition of a 25 year storm is: "Twenty-five year storm" means a 24-hour storm of such intensity that it
has a 4% probability of being equaled or exceeded any given year. The storm could result in what is referred to as a 25-
year flood.

Thank you. I was pretty sure that was what was required but wanted to make sure.
On other projects we deal with a 25 year storm but only a one hour storm.
Thanks for all you do. Have a great day, you deserve it.
