Yes SUMMARY: DERR arrived on-site with Terracon at 7:30 AM to oversee the installation of the Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System (VIMS) at the Pavilion. A safety briefing was conducted among DERR and Terracon. Upon arrival, the contractor (Big D) was filling the footprint of the Pavilion with gravel before laying down the membrane. The membrane installation occurred at approximately 8:20 AM. The install consisted of laying down one sheet at a time with approximately 2 feet of overlap between sheets. For places with exposed rebar, the membrane was cut and later taped so that the membrane extended a few inches past the rebar. For areas with no rebar, the membrane extended a few inches up the concrete. When the DERR left the Site, Big D was working to seal areas around the piping. Terracon was back on-site later in the day for oversight and to ensure that the exterior was sealed properly. For other areas around the Site, most of the Site looked to be up-to-grade with fill material. Terracon conducted confirmation samples a few weeks prior to define the extent of contamination at TP-37 and identify impacts underneath the asphalt pad. The impacted material at TP-37 was excavated and taken to a disposal facility on August 14, 2024. The asphalt tested clean and was being trucked off to a recycling facility or landfill. The soil underneath the asphalt will be stockpiled and sampled to verify that it’s clean and can go to the west-adjoining property.
