Dear Carrie Heaton:
A Compliance Agreement Enforcement Order was issued by the Director of the Division of
Drinking Water (“Director”) on June 21, 2021. It has come to our attention that circumstances
may necessitate additional time to comply with certain aspects of the Order. In accordance with
Number 11 of the General Provisions section of the Order, the Director authorizes an extension to
specific items as outlined in the attached supplemental Enforcement Order Schedule (“EOS”).
Please sign and return the attached Supplemental EOS within 30 days to acknowledge the
extension.
This is the FINAL extension granted to Alton Town Water System. Failure to correct these
deficiencies in the agreed-upon time frame will result in an escalation of enforcement actions as
outlined in paragraph three of the General Provisions Section of the June 21, 2021, order. Section
three outlines the following agreed-upon penalty rates:
The Supplier hereby stipulates and agrees to pay, within 30 days of demand by the
Director, administrative penalties in the following amounts arising from any violations of
this CA/EO, on a per-day, per-violation basis:
