Dear Mr. Richards:
On December 29, 2023, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control received an application for a major modification to the permit for the ROC-Intermountain Regional MSW Landfill
located at 800 South Allen Ranch Road in Fairfield, Utah.
The modification application appears to be complete. Complete does not imply or mean that the modification is approved. The Division will continue its standard review process of the
application. If the Division requires additional information during its review, you will be contacted.
Following our review and after all parts of the application are determined acceptable, a draft permit will be prepared and mailed to you for your review and comment. Upon resolution
of any issues that you may have, the draft permit will be subjected to a 30-day public notice and comment period, during which time a public hearing may be scheduled. At the end of the
public notice and comment period, any comments received will be addressed, and if necessary, changes will be made to the draft permit. After completion of this, and if no issues preventing
the issuance of the modified permit, a final modified permit will be issued with the expiration date remaining the same as the current permit, July 28, 2031.
