HomeMy WebLinkAboutDDW-2024-009179 July 25, 2024 Mayor Mike Farrar Big Plains Water SSD - Cedar Point 1777 North Meadowlark Drive Apple Valley, Utah 84737 Subject:Plan Approval, Mountain View Estates Subdivision (6 lots); Big Plains SSD – Cedar Point, System #27089, File #15716 Dear Mike Farrar:The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received the plans and specifications for the proposed Mountain View Estates Subdivision from Karl Rasmussen, ProValue Engineering on March 23, 2022. On that same day, a response email was sent saying that the water system was not able to verify adequate source capacity for additional connections to the system. It was communicated that would have to be resolved before the lots could be approved as an addition to the water system. On July 16, 2024, a revised capacity analysis was resubmitted as the water system has been working to get approvals on their wells and bring them back online. The plans for the subdivision had not changed since the first submission. This project has met the conditions for receiving a plan approval. Our understanding of the project is to install 1,320 linear feet of 8-inch diameter C900 PVC pipe to serve six lots, referred to as the Mountain View Estates Subdivision. The project will include water meters, fire hydrants and appurtenant valves and fittings. We have completed our review of the plans and specifications, stamped, and signed byKarl Bradley Rasmussen, P.E., dated April 21, 2022, and find they basically comply with the applicable portions of Utah’s Administrative Rules for Public Drinking Water Systems in R309. On this basis, the plans for the Mountain View Estates Subdivision are hereby approved. This approval pertains to construction only. An Operating Permit must be obtained from the Director before these water lines may be put in service. A checklist outlining the items required for operating permit issuance is enclosed for your information.Approvals or permits from the local authority or the county may be necessary before beginning construction of this project. As the project proceeds, notice of any changes in the approved design, as well as any change affecting the quantity or quality of the delivered water, must be submitted to the Division. We may also conduct interim and final inspections of this project. Please notify us when actual construction begins so that these inspections can be scheduled. This approval must be renewed if construction has not begun or if substantial equipment has not been ordered within one year of the date of this letter.
