This Approval expires on December 31, 2029.
Dear Tracey Feltner:
The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received the following documents on June 17, 2024. The specifications portion was missing at that time and was requested on June 17. The
complete Water Line Installation Standards were submitted on June 25, 2024:
The 2024 water line installation drawings and specifications for all of the water systems operated by the Central Iron County WCD, stamped and signed by Curtis L. Nielson, P.E., and
dated June 17, 2024.
The completed application form signed by Curtis L. Nielson, P.E and dated June 17, 2024, which formally designates:
Kelly Crane, P.E., as the Professional Engineer (PE) having direct responsibility for the design of the entire water system, and
Curtis L. Nielson, P.E., as the PE responsible for oversight of the hydraulic analysis of the entire water system.
We completed our review of the Central Iron County WCD 2024 water line installation drawings and specifications, and find theybasically comply with the applicable portions of Utah's
Rules for Public Drinking Water Systems in R309-550. On this basis, Central Iron County WCD 2024 water line installation drawings and specificationsare hereby approved.
Central Iron County WCD, Cedar Highland Subdivision, Chekshani Cliffs HOA, and Bumblebee Water System has met the criteria in R309-500-7 to install water lines up to 16 inches in diameter
and is not required to obtain Plan Approval or an Operating Permit for the qualified water line projects.
Please note the following restrictions to this approval:
This approval does not apply to booster pump stations.
If minimum separation between water and sewer lines cannot meet the requirements in R309-550-8, an exception must be obtained prior to water line construction.This Approval expires on
December 31, 2029. You must notify the Division if there is a change to standard installation drawings and specifications or the designated PE for design or hydraulic analysis during
the term of this Approval. To continue using standard installation drawings and specifications for water transmission and distribution lines after the expiration date, you must submit
a complete renewal application to the Division.Please maintain a copy of this letter with your permanent records for future reference.
