Background
This site was a former gasoline station and auto
repair shop from 1950 to 1975, then a carwash
until 1990. It was unknown if the underground
storage tank(s) containing petroleum had been
removed. The site was an underutilized,
abandoned lot and a neighborhood eyesore for
almost 20 years. Perceived contamination had
prevented redevelopment of the site. UDEQ
partnered with EPA and Ogden City to move
the site toward a beneficial re-use.
