Hercules Aerospace Company Don Verbica, UDSHW Enclosure Printed on recycled paper Permit Number UT-08-93 STATE OF UTAH EMERGENCY PLAN APPROVAL Permittee: Hercules Aerospace Company Space/Strategic Propulsion Bacchus Works Magna, Utah Pursuant to the Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Act, (the Act), 19.6.101-122, et. seq., Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended and the Utah Administrative Code (UAC) (R315-1 through R315-14, R315-50 and R315-101) as adopted by the Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board, an emergency plan approval (herein after called "permit") is issued to Hercules Aerospace Company Bacchus Works (hereafter called the "Permittee"), to store a Titan IV solid rocket motor segment, unit TF009 that is presently considered a hazardous waste. The rocket segment shall be stored at the Bacchus plant shipping facilities at Building Number 2495. The permit for hazardous waste storage will remain in effect from June 7, 1993 until September 5, 1993. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) has authorized the Executive Secretary to issue such a permit under Section 3006(b) of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The Permittee must comply with all the terms and conditions of this permit. The permit consists of the applicable portions of R315-1 through R315-14, R315-50, and R315-101 incorporated by reference. Applicable rules are those which are in effect on the date of issuance of this permit. This permit is based on the premise that the written information provided to the Executive Secretary on June 1, 1993 (hereafter referred to as the application), is accurate and that the storage will be conducted as specified in the application. Any inaccuracies or misrepresentations found in the application may be grounds for the termination of this permit (see R315-3-19). The Permittee shall inform the Executive Secretary of any deviation from, or changes in the information in the application which would affect the Permittee's ability to comply with the applicable regulations.
