Re: Groundwater Sampling addendums

This letter confirms our previous agreement regarding the
groundwater sampling protocol for groundwater monitoring wells at
the Bacchus Works. The amendments to the groundwater sampling
protocol are identified below.
The groundwater sampling protocol for monitoring wells 70, 71,
73, 74, and 75 have been amended. These wells have been sampled
for at least four consecutive quarters and have not detected any
radiologics, herbicides, pesticides, or bacteriologies.
Therefore, these constituents may be dropped from the sampling
requirements for monitoring wells 70, 71, 73, 74, and 75.
Permission is granted to drop quarterly sampling and analysis of
dissolved metals from monitoring wells 70, 71, 73, 74, and 75.
It is understood that dissolved metals will be sampled and
analyzed on an annual basis, and that the sampling will be done
during the third quarter sampling event.
Approval is granted to discontinue the sampling and analysis of
total and free cyanides on a quarterly basis for monitoring wells
73, 74, and 75. These three monitoring wells will continue to
have total and free cyanides samples collected and analyzed
during the third quarter sampling event.
