Re: Request for a Thirty-Day Extension of the Ninety-Day Storage Rule for
Waste Rocket Propellant
Dear Mr. Dovms:
Hercules requests a thirty-day extension to the ninety-day storage rule
for approximately 26,500 pounds of cured waste rocket propellant. This waste
propellant is the result of an out-of-spec, batch mix operation. The
propellant is contained in an old C-4 motor case.
The ninety-day storage period for this waste expires on February 15. In
a separate letter Hercules is also requesting interim status for storage of
this waste propellant. This extension request is to allow time for the
processing of the Part A application revision.
If you have any questions or require any additional information, please
call John Waugaman at 251-3302.
Sincerely,
ERA/JLWaugaman/sjw/7826s
