Re: Request for a Thirty-Day Extension of the Ninety-Day Storage
Rule for Waste Tank #2479
Dear Mr. Downs:
Hercules requests a thirty-day extension to the ninety-day
storage rule for hazardous waste tank #2479. The tank is used to
contain spent resin and sizing with low concentrations of F-series
solvents. The extension is necessary because we have been unable
to pump this very viscous material and are in the process of
setting up a vacuum system to make the transfer. Some of the
hardware for the new system has not been received and it is likely
we will exceed the May 15 expiration date of the ninety-day rule.
