NOTICE
Due to a production problems, Hercules, Bacchus Works requires hazardous waste storage for some
Class 1.3 prebatch propellant. Hercules Aerospace Company, Magna, Utah has been issued an
emergency hazardous waste storage permit pursuant to R450-3-12(a) for tiie storage of tliis waste in
BuUding 2495.
This permit allows Hercules to store in drums, soUd hazardous waste (Class 1.3 prebatcii propellant)
wliich is generated during the production of propellants used in rocket motors. Hercules is permitted
to store this waste until this pemiit expires, or until additional storage capacity is added at Hercules
Aerospace Company as provided in R450-20.2(c). Tiiese wastes aie defined as reactive (D003) by
R450-2-1.7(d).
This permit is for these wastes ordy, and requires storage only in accordance with the procedures and
in the locations specified in the emergency permit. Tlie emergency permit expires October 16, 1990.
Copies of the emergency pennit are available for pubUc inspection between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at
the offices of the Bureau of Solid and Hazardous Waste, 4th Floor, Dr. Martha Hughes Camion Building,
