Box 16690 288 North 1460 West Salt Lake City, Utah 84116-0690 Re: Wells GW-31 and GW-36 Dear Mr. Verbica: September 17, 1990 DSHWTN 1990-20785 During our third quarter sampling campaign we did not sample two of our wells (GW-31 and GW-36). We lowered the bailer several times and were unable to retreive any amount of water. Water level measurements indicate that there is 1.0 foot of water in GW-31 and 1.3 feet of water in GW-36. Water levels in these two wells have dropped 4 inches during the past month. If this rate continues, these two wells will be dry in a few months. Due to our inability to get any water from these two wells, we are requesting that these wells be dropped from the sampling schedule for an indeteirminate amount of time. We will continue monitoring and reporting the water level measurements on a quarterly basis. When the groundwater rises enough to obtain samples, these two wells would be sampled on a quarterly basis. If you have any questions conceming this letter, please contact Shane Hirschi, of my staff, at 251-3851. Sincerely, ERA/SDHirschi/alc/7518s Attachment cc: D. K. Peay S. J.
