Dear Mr. Blauer:

The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) has reviewed your request for a
30-day extension to submit the Annual Post Closure Groundwater Report as required by the Promontory
M-136 Post Closure Permit (Request). Northrup Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) has had data
transfer issues and is awaiting the Level III Data Validation. NGSC will submit the report with the
complete data sets once the data are received.

The Division acknowledges that the datasets are required elements to the reports and that NGSC is
working to address the issue. The 30-day extension is hereby approved.
