Dear Mr. Blauer: The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control has completed its review of ATK’s request to modify its storage permit. The modification is needed to add hazardous waste code D030 to the list of hazardous wastes that ATK is permitted to store. As mentioned in your letter, this modification is classified as a Class 1 Modification with prior approval from the Director. Your modification request is hereby approved. In accordance with R315-270-42(a)(ii) of the Utah Administrative Code, ATK must send a notice of the modification to all persons on the facility mailing list and the appropriate units of state and local government within 90 calendar days after approval of the request.
