Dear Mr. Anderson:
As required by permit, ATK Launch Systems Inc. (ATK) is submitting the annual waste minimization
certification for activities occurring during calendar year 2015. Waste minimization improvement
resulted in a 12,000 pound reduction in hazardous waste shipped offsite, and energetic waste treated by
open burning. In 2015 waste minimization was achieved through the actions of ATK’s internal review
committees. These committees review the disposal practices and available alternatives for waste disposal
and minimization. These internal review committees will continue to function in 2016. ATK also
continues to implement process improvements which will reduce the amount and toxicity of hazardous
waste generated.
Certification
I certify under penalty of law that this document and all attachments were prepared under my direction or
supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified personnel properly gather and
evaluate the information submitted. Based on my inquiry of the person or persons who manage the
system, or those persons directly responsible for gathering the information, the information submitted is,
to the best of my knowledge and belief, true, accurate, and complete. I am aware that there are
significant penalties for submitting false information, including the possibility of fine and imprisonment
for knowing violations.
