Dear Mr. Anderson:
As required by permit, ATK Launch Systems Inc. (ATK) is submitting the annual waste
minimization certification for activities occurring during calendar year 2014. Process
improvement projects resulted in a 13,000 pound reduction in hazardous waste shipped offsite,
and energetic waste treated by open burning. In addition we continue with the processes using
alternative, non-listed solvents which result in a significant reduction in the mass of rags sent
offsite as hazardous waste. ATK also continues to implement process improvements which will
reduce the amount and toxicity of hazardous waste generated.
Certification
/ certify under penalty of law that this document and all attachments were prepared under my
direction or supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified personnel
properly gather and evaluate the information submitted. Based on my inquiry of the person or
persons who manage the systems, or those persons directly responsible for gathering the
information, the information is, to the best of my knowledge and belief, true, accurate, and
complete. I am aware that there are significant penalties for submitting false infomiation,
including the possibility of find and imprisonment for knowing violations.
