Box 707 Brigham City, UT 84302-0707 RE: Solid Waste Management Unit Closures ATK Launch Systems-Promontory Facility UTD009081357 Dear Mr. Gooch: The Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste has been reviewing SWMU investigation reports and has worked with your staff on corrective action issues associated with a number of SWMUs at the Promontory facility. Some of these SWMUs were investigated under the Phase I RCRA Facility Investigation (RFI) and others were investigated under Stage 2 of the Installation Restoration Program (IRP) that was conducted for Air Force Plant 78. Based on our review of the RFI and IRP reports, site visits, and in some cases the results of additional data that was collected, the IRP and RFI Reports associated with the SWMUs identified in the table below are hereby approved. Therefore, the Division concurs with ATK's recommendations for no further action.
