Dear Mr. Anderson,
ATK requests a 14-day extension to submit the draft final revision ofthe Human Health
Risk Assessment (HHRA) Protocol. The draft final document will be submitted no later
June 13, 2014. The extension will be used to process proof the dispersion modeling and
risk assessment software interface. Once this is verified, the document will be finalized
and submitted.
We believe that verifying the program functions properly will prevent future delays as we
proceed with the project. Unfortunately our contractor has experienced technical
difficulties which have delayed the project. In addition to the benefits from process
proofing our software programs, the extension will provide approximately ten working
days for the Division to review an electronic version of the draft protocol, and provide
ATK with comments before submitting a draft final revision of the HHRA Protocol.
We appreciate your patience while allowing us additional time on this phase of the
project. We do believe that it will be time well spent which will help prevent future
