Re: Notification of EPA Lead Inspection at the
ATK. Launch Systems, Promontory Facility
As agreed upon, the EPA Region 8 is planning to conduct an unannounced lead Resource Conservation
and Recovery Act (RCRA) compliance evaluation inspection (CEl) at the ATK Launch Systems facility
located in Promontory, Utah, from January 31 - February 2, 2012. The purpose of this inspection is to
assess the facility's compliance with their RCRA subtitle C permit to treat and store reactive wastes.
David Duster, of my staff, will be conducting this inspection. David will be coordinating this inspection
with Brad Maulding and Jeff Vandel, of your staff. If you have any questions, you can contact me at
