Dear Mr. Gosen:

On July 27, 2010, the Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste sent ATK a letter addressing ATK’s Spring 2010 Groundwater Monitoring Plan and the status of groundwater data that was available
for use in the Human Health Risk Assessment. The Division enclosed a list of suggested wells to sample. The suggested wells were selected in order to provide additional data needed
for the HHRA. The list of wells was also discussed with ATK personnel before the letter was sent out.

Based on the discussion with ATK, it was decided that it wasn’t necessary to sample five of the wells on the list (A4, C3, D6, P6 and P7) during the Spring 2010 sampling event. These
wells were inadvertently left on the list that was sent to ATK. This letter is intended to clarify the Division’s oversight on this issue. If you have any questions, please contact
