Dear Mr. Anderson:
In accordance with the requirements of Emergency Permit No. UTO14-2010, ATK
Launch Systems - Promontory is submitting a summary of activities covering the period
July 1, 2010 to September 30, 2010. All demining activities are performed at the
KOSMO Test Range. When demining activities do occur, complete combustion of
reactive residues is verified by visual inspection. Any residual debris is properly
disposed in the ATK Promontory landfill.
Flares Launched During the Reporting Period
72 flares were launched- 36 M278 and 36 M257.

Tracking and Recordkeeping
A total of 10 flares require backhoe extraction and demining. Flare recovery efforts were
cut short this fall due to weather conditions. Another attempt will be made to recover
them next spring.
