One ofthe requested changes, is to add certain EPA codes for chemicals Thiokol is now using. One of these codes includes U122 for formaldehyde. We have four drums of formaldehyde that have been stored for 88 days and will expire on Friday January 8. We cannot move these drums to our storage facility because the U122 code is not yet included in our permit. We have scheduled a pickup by our hazardous waste disposal contractor, but they have informed us that they will not be able to pickup the four drums until January 14. As authorized in 40 CFR 262.34(b), Thiokol requests a two week extension for storage of these formaldehyde drums to allow pickup and proper disposal ofthis hazardous waste by our licensed hazardous waste contractor. Ifyou have any questions or need additional clarification, I can be reached at (435) 863- 4479. Thanks for your timely assistance in this matter. Sincerely, K. K.
