Dear Mr. Asklerson
Enclosed is a copy of the Draft Comprehensive Groundwater
Monitoring Evaluation for the Thiokol Corporation (Draft CME).
The State's comments would be greatly appreciated by
November 18, 1994. Due to contract constraints the final CME
must be completed by the end of the 1994 calendar year.
Please pay particular attention to the Summary and
Conclusions beginning on page 63 of the Draft CME. The Region
VIII Environmental Protection Agency is concerned with regard to
the pptential regulatory violations summarized on page 64 of the
Draft CME. In addition to the potential regulatory violations
there are numerous potential technical deficiencies summarized on
pages 64-66 of the Draft CME.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please
call Mindy Mohr of my staff at (303) 293-1840.
Sincerely,
LarryQwapensky, Chief
