Subject: Request for Emergency Permit To Store Reactive Waste from Off Site in Bum
Trays, ATK Thiokol-Promontory - EPA ID # UTD00908I357
ATK Thiokol-Promontory requests an emergency permit to store reactive waste received
from our Bacchus facility in bum trays at M-136 until July 29, 2006. ATK Thiokol is
currently limited to 24 hours. Additional time is needed to safely manage this and other
reactive waste generated on plant.
The waste for which this pennit is sought, was received on July 26, 2006 at 11:30 am, on
manifest number UTDOO 170502902764. A total of 7,615 lbs of 1.3C propellant solid
and 1,818 lbs of L3C substances explosive was received on this manifest. All waste was
placed in bum trays at station # 4.
