Dear Mr. Gooch:

This letter is in response to your correspondence dated May 11, 2004 regarding the submittal of Thiokol’s revised Closure Plan for hazardous waste management units at the Promontory
facility. The Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste (the Division) had requested that Thiokol revise the Closure Plan to remove references to the hazardous waste storage buildings that
were recently closed and to modify other sections of the Closure Plan. Once approved, the revised Closure Plan will be incorporated into the Part B Permit that Thiokol and the Division
are working to re-issue.

In your letter, you requested that the due date for submitting the revised Closure Plan be extended to June 30, 2004. Your request to extend the due date is hereby approved.
