In the referenced letter above, dated June 10, 2004, Thiokol submitted a draft
Groundwater Flow and Contaminant Transport Model Work Plan to the Utah Division
of Solid and Hazardous Waste for the Promontory facility. Your able staff provided
helpful comments on the plan to improve and modify it to meet the Divisions
standards. Enclosed Is a copy of the Groundwater Flow and Contaminant Transport
Model Work Plan for ttie ATK Promontory Facility, revised in accordance with
provided comments. We believe this document addresses the requests and
concerns of the Division for modeling of the Promontory facility. Upon approval of
this plan, Thiokol will begin activities outlined in the plan. A final report describing
closure activities will be submitted to the Division in early 2005. The Division's timely
review and approval of the plan will greatly aid in meeting this tight schedule.
