Subject: Request for Change of Schedule for Amended Closure Plans, Thiokol
Propulsion Photographic Waste Sites
Approval of a schedule for submittal of amended closure plans for M-39, M-l 14, M-508,
and M-636 was granted by the Division ofSolid and Hazardous Waste in a letter to Susan
Jew dated February 24, 2003. This approved scheduled indicated closure plans would be
submitted by Thiokol to the Utah DSHW on or before March 31, 2003. Thiokol requests
an additional 60 days to complete these plans and will submit them by May 30, 2003.
We have obtained help from Earthfax Engineering of Salt Lake City to assist us in this
effort, to ensure the timely completion of this project.
