INFORMATION
The Thiokol Corporafion submitted to the Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste (DSHW) a
Class 3 pemiit modification for its Post-Closure Permit on July 31,1996. The Thiokol Corporation
proposed including a Corrective Action Manag<;ment Unit for the remecUation of soUs at Sofid Waste
Management Units 367 and 425. An initial pubhc comment period for the modification request was
held by the facility as well as a public information meeting. After the DSHW made the
determination to issue a draft approval ofthe modification request, the DSHW held another public
comment period as well as a hearing. Final approval of this modification request was issued July
