NOTICE
Thiokol Corporation has submitted to the Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board a request
to renew its Research, Development and Demonstration Permit that was originally issued June 15,
1994 and renewed June 16, 1995. This permit allows for the storage and treatment of solid rocket
motors at their facility located in Box Elder County, Utah. If approved, this permit renewal would
allow Thiokol to operate this facility for one additional year beginning June 17, 1996. A public
comment period for this apphcation began May I, 1996 and will end May 31, 1996.
A public hearing will be held by the Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste for the Thiokol
Research, Development and Demonstration Permit on May 22, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brigham
City Library located at 26 East Forest, Brigham City, Utah.

to the hearing.
