Re: Request for Additional Storage Time at Building T-93
Dear Mr. Thompson:
The Division has received your letter dated March 13, 1995, requesting an extension to the time
limitations for storage of hazardous waste at Building T-93, and on the Hydrolysis Pad adjacent
to T-93. The need to ascertain a cause for the flash during propellant removal, and safety
concems for personnel at these sites are legitimate reasons for considering an extension to the
storage times as currently outlined in Temporary Authorization 95-00764.
The Division hereby grants a seven day extension to the 21-day time limit for storage in the
Hydrolysis Tank within Building T-93 and an additional seven day extension to the current seven
day storage limit for waste on die Hydrolysis Pad.
Please keep the Division appraised of any findings as to the cause of the flash and future plans
