SUBJECT: Delegation of Signatory and Certification Requireinents
Under UAC R315-8-10
Organizational changes have been implemented within Thiokol and
it is appropriate to update the R315-8-10 certification
delegations.
Thiokol internally assigns responsibility for its Utah
Operations environmental matters to the Utah Defense Launch
Vehicles Operations. As Vice President of that organization, I
am the staff member meeting the cited requirements.
I hereby delegate signatory and certification authority relative
to Thiokol's RCRA permits to Joseph D. Thompson, Director of
Safety, Environmental and Services; and to Alvin K. Lemon,
Manager, Facilities, Maintenance and Waste Management. These
individuals have the primary responsibility for management and
coordination of RCRA activities for Thiokol in Utah. Mr.
Thompson serves as the primary point of contact for our
operations with the State Department of Environmental Quality.
